Permission to change? 1 Year, 2 Months ago

I just installed Registration Validator on my Joomla site. When I go to edit domain sites, I get the following response:
You don't have permission to access /administrator/index.php on this server.
I am the administrator! At one time I had to give write permissions to certain files. Do I have to do this with Registration Validator? Seems like the permissions are in order, unless I missed a file.
Thanks!

Once installed, all plug-in parameters are stored in the database (as per standard Joomla plugins). You don't need write access to any files.
At what point do you receive this error? Is it when you click Apply or Save?

Hello
Sorry I wasn't notified of your reply.
I go to plugin manager, select registration validator, try to add domains I want to restrict, then try to save. This is when I get the error response. It gets so bad that I cannot even close down registration validator. I continue to get the error response. I have to go up to my browser and go back in order to get back into joomala.
Hope you're still around, and maybe you can solve this problem.
Thanks!
Cliff

Do you know what OS/web-server your site is running on? Do you have any problems with other plugins when you save settings? It is strange, as the save settings part is pretty much handled by Joomla - it just dumps the parameters back into the database.
I am not sure why forum notifications aren't working - I've noticed it too, which is why I'm not very quick at responding at the moment. I have just updated some settings, hopefully that will resolve that issue.

Well, at least I've fixed one issue - forum notifications are now working again.
