ad modules and clientips 8 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Hi,
I just installed the DJBAdsense module on my site at www.buoyantlife.net. It seems to work fine in the right column of both my home page and internal pages. But when I then created another module for the banner space at the top of the site I get the following message when trying to view the my pages.

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare getclientip() (previously declared in /home1/yezucanc/public_html/buoyantlife/modules/mod_djbadsense/mod_djbadsense.php:5) in /home1/yezucanc/public_html/buoyantlife/modules/mod_djbadsense/mod_djbadsense.php on line 4

I don't understand how to declare a clientip, or how to fix this problem.

Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

I presume that on the page that has the issue, there are in fact two adsense modules showing?

I never thought about that possibility, and it would cause the problem you are seeing. I can fix this fairly quickly, so expect an update within a few hours that should resolve the issue.

thank you.
yes, in each case adding the banner means there will be two modules on the same page. I will look forward to your fix.

Attached is version 1.0.1, which should fix the issue. I have tested it on my test site, and it is working. I haven't tested it with two modules showing, but have made the necessary changes for this to now be supported.

Please let me know if it solves the problem.

Actually, I've just worked out how to display the two modules and have tested it properly. I now have two adsense modules showing on my test site with no errors.

You need to remove the previous one, it won't upgrade (the Joomla installer will throw an error). So you'll have to copy your settings (inc. Google adsense code) out before uninstalling.
