I want to make a test with this ceditCKEditor, but I got only blank textarea, on both IE8 and FireFox 3.6 browsers.

Maybe this version is still buggy. Hope there will be a new release soon.

BTW, I can see from the parameters that ceditCKEditor plugin is a promising editor for Joomla 1.5. I would like to offer any help I can to promote this plugin.

Not sure about this - I don't have an issue in either browser. I wonder if it could be to do with the other CKEditor plugin you tried and the fact they both use the ckeditor folder.

Unfortunately yes, the current version is still beta. There will be another one released soon (it will still be beta, but much less so!)

I have the same issue - installed and made it to be the main editor (perviously had FCK edit running) but editor not loading in the articles. - Running Firefox on Mac

I am currently setting up a new test site so that I can test on a completely clean installation. I have tested on my test and development sites, and in fact am now using this plugin on this site without having the issue.

I'll post back as soon as I can work out what the problem is.

Ok, I installed XAMPP (new install, never used it before) and started Apache and MySQL. Did a new install of Joomla, using test data. First thing I did after install was install ceditCKEditor plugin and try to edit the article, which worked perfectly (using CKEditor).

Could you let me know what your plugin parameters are showing please? I did discover that there are issues if invalid parameters are sent to CKEditor, and I wonder if this is the cause of the problem. By default (I didn't change any parameters on install) it should work, but it could be that some combination is not working.

Could you try beta 5 when you get a chance?

I have found one thing that could possibly cause this issue - though I don't understand why I wouldn't have it on a clean XAMPP install with new Joomla.

There are two minor updates in beta 5 as compared with beta 4. One of them may shed some light on this issue.

I am using this plugin on this site now for editing articles, and have not had any problems at all with it (it is much nicer than the built in Joomla editors!). It is pretty much ready for its first full release, but I wanted to confirm that it is working for others properly before I do this.

Are you getting just a blank text area also? Do you have a demo site or similar to which you can send me an account so that I can look into this further and find out what is happening? I just can't replicate this issue, and I've tried on two servers (one Linux, one Windows) and a clean XAMPP installation.

I still have blank textarea on beta5 of this editor.

If you change the parameter settings, does anything change?

My parameters from this site are:
Toolbar: Full
Toolbar can collapse: yes
Skin: Kama
Enable resize: yes
Images root folder: /images
Use HTML entities: yes
Editor language: browser default

The final two parameters are currently ignored.

Would you be able to set the parameters as above and then ensure they are saved and see if this changes anything?

I think I may have found the problem. Did you have the problem with editing from the front-end? I was only testing in the back-end, but when I tested in the front end I also had the problem of no CKEditor. It was to do with importing the stylesheets, which I have now disabled.

Hopefully this problem is now resolved in Beta 6.

This time, version beta6 shown up the eidtor properly. Thanks to the author, you have fixed this issue.

However, I also found new bugs. Please continue to improve it.
