Love this plug-in.

What would make it even more loveable would be if there were perameters:

1) Show only on Section/Category
2) Ability to turn footer on and off at article level either can list article numbers or add a field to the parameters of individual articles.

Well I'm glad someone else found it useful - the only person that bothered to rate it obviously didn't think much of it! Odd really, it does exactly what it says on the tin...

I have uploaded a beta version (tested, though!) that implements the article exclusion parameter. I have no idea how to add parameters to articles themselves (and couldn't find much reference for it), so the only option was your first suggestion of a list of article ids (comma-separated). Any articles found in the list will not have a footer added.

I've also played slightly with the section/category exclusion. I can easily add this in the same way as the article exclusion, but this isn't functional in the beta version yet - I am trying to find a more user-friendly way of excluding, but it appears I can only have a drop-down list as opposed to multi-select list for these parameters.

Have a look and let me know what you think.

I think it will be very useful for me -- and others. I will be using it to put a logo on most -- but not all page, and having it as a plugin means I don't have to put any code on all of the pages I already have etc etc. I'm sure you understand

Just to confirm I can put regular HTML into the plug-in too, correct? (If so, it would be a nice touch if the field was a little bigger, not that I need it bigger, but it would be nice if it were bigger.)

Yes, I thought that about the field size once I started playing with it. I have increased it to a textarea to give enough room to see the contents properly!

I am not sure if I've uploaded that version or not, as I am still playing with the category exclusion part. I've managed to get a selectable list of categories via a custom parameter, but retrieving the values when multiple options are selected appears to be tricky... Just about to try some Javascript to see if that helps.

Regular HTML should work in the footers. Anything entered will be passed back to be appended to the article. Having said this, I haven't actually tried with any HTML code yet... I'll check it and update.

Well, with a bit of Javascript and hidden fields I finally got the category exclusion part to be as I wanted (and you asked for, of course!).

You can now select from a list any categories that should be excluded. Unfortunately I can't think of a way to do this for articles themselves - so for that, you're stuck with having to enter a list of article numbers.

Nice site, btw. Nice to see where my plugins are being used! Must look into themes at some point and improve the looks of this one...
