As soon as I uncheck "anonymous access" ("Anonymer Zugriff" on the screenshot) in my SMTP config of my exchange 2003, POP Collector presents error "454 5.7.3 Client does not have permission to Send As this sender". With anonymous access to SMTP, POP Collector is working without any prob.

POP Collector offers the option to insert a SMTP-server username/password for each POP3-account, so I guess that it is possible to avoid anonymous SMTP access. I have provided correct username/password in POP Collector for accessing the SMTP-service on the server but still "454 5.7.3...".

I know that this is an exchange related problem of misconfig but I cannot find any hint with google, how to fix this. I have granted "send as"-rights to all affected domain accounts for which emails should be forwarded but it didn't solve the problem. I'd appreciate your help in this case.

The problem seems to be solved.^^

Solution:
The POP3-email-address has to be added to the specific AD account. After doing this, SMTP allows the forwarding of collected emails.

Shame on me but I am happy that it could be solved
