Assuming that the logs were taken during a test registration, then you are correct that it isn't working properly on that installation.
I've just checked the code against the log. During optimisation in one of the last two versions it appears I introduced a bug into the Jomsocial integration. Apologies for this, I have just isolated and fixed it. I'll test it and it will be fixed in 2.0.9, which will be available within a couple of hours (not the beta 2.0.9 that is currently on the download page - it still doesn't work in that).
